Who we are
This website is operated by John Antle (licensed as John David Antle), Mortgage Associate | Team Lead with Pineapple National Inc., under the team name John Antle Mortgages. In this policy, "we" means John Antle and Pineapple National Inc.
What we collect
- Information you choose to send us by phone, text, email or the contact form: your name, contact details, community and a description of what you need.
- Contact form: when you submit the form on this website, its contents are sent by email to John Antle at his Pineapple National Inc. mailbox (johnantle@gopineapple.com). The website itself doesn't keep a copy of your message. To limit spam, the web server briefly keeps a one-way (hashed) record of the submitting IP address and the time. It is used only to limit repeat submissions and isn't linked to your message.
- If you go on to apply for a mortgage, the information a lender needs to assess your application, collected through secure channels with your consent.
- Basic technical information that web servers record automatically, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide mortgage services you ask for, meet legal and regulatory requirements (including Real Estate Council of Alberta requirements and anti-money-laundering rules), and improve this website. With your consent, we share application information with lenders, mortgage insurers, appraisers and lawyers involved in your mortgage.
Consent and your choices
You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits. We'll explain how that affects the services we can provide. You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you. Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, the federal PIPEDA govern how private organizations handle personal information.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards for personal information. Please don't send your SIN, banking details or identity documents by text or regular email. We'll give you a secure method. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires.
